It’s the king of video fantasy roleplaying games and it’s been a long long road and fans of the game have had the patience of saints as they waited for this day. Now the  UK trailer is here the excitement of anticipation replaces the frustration, expectations are exceptionally high as Two worlds collide for the one home.

In Warcraft: The Beginning, the peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: Orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people and their home.

So begins a spectacular saga of power and sacrifice in which war has many faces, and everyone fights for something.

I’m not a gamer, doesn’t mean to say I don’t play them but if you asked an outsider to name a video game they would say Call of Duty (which is next for live action film adaptation) or World Of Warcraft. This franchise could easily be one of the few franchises that could challenge the likes of Lord Of The Rings as in the scope of the world which makes this project intriguing for fantasy film fans. Like LOTR the planning has been astronomical , probably certain things that may have not made the film, the post editing and VFX must have been endless.

Blizzard Entertainment and off course Universal Pictures alongside Duncan Jones deliver what they hope is the best gaming adaptation to date. delay after delay then release clashing with a certain film set in a galaxy far far away the release now Summer 2016. What’s on offer here from an outsider’s point of view may just bring the biggest smile they’ve ever made, boundaries been pushed and fans buttons been pressed in the right places.

Warcraft: The Beginning will arrive in UK& Ireland from 3rd June 2016 (USA 10th June), starring Toby Kebbell, Ben Schnetzer, Rob Kazinsky and Daniel Wu.
