World Is Even Bleaker In Bird Box Second Trailer

If you believe things will be disastrous if politicians don’t accept Theresa May’s Brexit deal, spare a thought for Sandra Bullock in Bird Box. Her world is bleak as hell as she tries to survive the aftermath of a catastrophic apocalyptic event Blindfolded!

Ahead of next week’s online release, Netflix has released a second Trailer for Susanne Bier’s film. Some are describing it as ‘A Quiet Place‘ style horror thriller. In some ways they would be correct, this time instead of noise, we have to live blind.

The film is based on Josh Malerman’s novel of the same name Malorie (Bullock) is a mother who must flee with her two children. After a mysterious force decimates the world’s population if you see them you die. She must flee blindfolded and search for sanctuary.

Netflix is slowly building a fantastic catalogue of horrors under their ‘Originals’ banner. This looks really tense, terrifying all largely thanks to Eric Heisserer who wrote the script. He is no stranger to horror as he wrote the script for Lights Out as well as Arrival!

The film also stars Trevante Rhodes, Jacki Weaver, Rosa Salazar, Danielle Macdonald, Lil Rel Howery, Tom Hollander, Colson Baker, BD Wong, with Sarah Paulson, and John Malkovich.

Bird Box will launch in select UK cinemas from 13th December sadly only seems to be London. For the rest of us, it will be on Netflix on 21st December.
