Robert Hloz‘s film only last weekend, played at Glasgow Film Festival. It did impress us, especially visually and with it only set 17 years into the future. There was also no UK Distributor and thankfully today Plaion Pictures announcing they picked up the UK rights.

Restore Point is set in central Europe during 2041, a female detective investigates the case of a murdered couple where a restoration team is able to bring one of them back to life.

There is retro-futuristic design, that promises to explores humanity’s fascination with mortality. You will see it also reminiscent with Blade Runner and Minority Report. Watch the trailer and go back up!

Agent Em has just taken on a case in which the fundamental rule of restoration has been breached. The victim’s restore point has been erased, and Em is thus faced with an exceptional crime. This is a gripping tale set in the near future, when technology guarantees a better life, which people will have the opportunity to pay to prolong.

The film stars Andrea Mohylová, Matěj Hádek, Václav Neužil, Agáta Kryštůfková, Milan Ondrík, Richard Stanke and Karel Dobrý. Retore Point will be released in the UK and Ireland from 1st April on Digital.
