Watch UK Trailer For Indie Thriller Beyond The Borders

Signature Entertainment have released the UK Trailer for immigration drama thriller Beyond The Borders starring Garrett Hedlund.

With the political stance in the U.S and it’s relationship with the U.S many will say this has a lot of relevance. The film is directed Italian filmmaker Marco Perego in his debut feature, also starring Adria Arjona, Tom Waits, and Chris Coy.

The film was known Stateside as The Absence Of Eden, which follow several stories set around the US border with Mexico. A dancer flee whose self defence results in a Cartel member death. A young mother and daughter fleeing results in the mother captured and woman promise to look after the girl.

This tense thriller triptych of stories based around the U.S. border will have you on the edge of your seat. When Esmee, a young woman working as a private dancer in Mexico, is forced to commit a violent act of self-defence that results in the death of a cartel member, she flees her homeland for sanctuary in the United States. Guided by a ruthless Coyote and a group of undocumented immigrants, she befriends a young mother and her daughter along the way. Before crossing the border, the mother is taken from the group, and Esmee promises to protect her daughter and help them reunite again in America, touching on an interlocking story about people struggling to survive on America’s border with Mexico. Zoe Saldaña (Avatar), Garrett Hedlund (Desperation Road), Adria Arjona (Hit Man) and Chris Coy (The Peripheral), Beyond the Borders is directed by Marco Perego from a script he co-wrote with Rick Rapoza (Cactuses).

Beyond The Borders will be released on Digital Platforms in the UK and Ireland from 3rd March.
