Watch Trailer For Swiss Survival Drama Retreat (Réduit)

Next week Swiss filmmaker Leon Schwitter‘s next feature, Retreat (Réduit) is set to make it’s world premiere. That premiere will happen at Mar del Plata International Film Festival in Argentina. Exact same day in Greece at the Thessaloniki Film Festival it will make it’s European premiere. Alief will be handling the film’s distribution rights and ahead of the premiere released the official Trailer.

Peter Hottinger and Dorian Heiniger star in this one. The survival drama follows a estranged father Michael (Hottinger) and son Ben (Heiniger) had into the (Swiss Alps) to a remote cabin. What was meant a bonding holiday, Ben seems to be more interested in video games. Michael believes keeping his son in the outside will protect him despite the world crumbling apart around them.

Like any parent or guardian you want to protect your children or loved ones from any trouble. The way the world is today and is sadly getting harder for us all people will make some difficult decisions. Off Grid preparing for something bad on it’s way or a holiday that’s more straining than relaxing or bonding?

On a holiday in the mountains, an estranged father and son get to know each other better. Sheltered by the rocky landscape, Michael believes that he and his son are safe from the outside world, which is crumbling under the impact of environmental destruction and economic crises.

Word on any UK or Irish release date has still to be announced. Retreat (Réduit) will make it’s premiere at both film festivals on 4th November.
