Watch The Wonderfully Bonkers The Substance Trailer

Coralie Fargeat is living up to the name of her previous film back with ‘revenge’ with The Substance. Next month MUBI will release the film in UK Cinemas, today it’s all about the UK Trailer which is wonderfully bonkers!

We haven’t seen this yet and revenge might once again play part of this film starring Demi Moore, , Margaret Qualley and Dennis Quaid. However this looks a wild satirical swipe at ageism and sexism in Hollywood and could easily be a part of Brian Yuzna‘s (Society) back catalogue. I’m sure Fargeat was inspired by that film and this second Trailer teases the unsettling and darkly humorous tone.

The Substance sees Elizabeth Sparkle (Moore), do anything to get the spotlight younger women are getting. A chance comes in the shape of a mysterious new drug and she’ll become a younger twenty something Sue (Qualley). What could go wrong? Spend one week in each body.

Body horror takes the viewer in some wild journeys, gross and nasty? Yes sometimes, just go see it!
