Watch The Trailer For Foundation Apple TV+ Isaac Asimov Sci-Fi Series

When it comes to science fiction, Isaac Asimov is considered the master by many. So you wonder why he’s never had a proper TV Series, until now…Foundation.

Yesterday evening at WWDC20 (Worldwide Developers Conference ), Apple surprised audiences with a first look at the highly anticipated Apple Original drama series based on the internationally revered and award-winning Isaac Asimov novel series of the same name.

This series has been nearly 50 years in the making with many directors connected to the series, including Roland Emmerich. The story behind the series some may say resonates with humanity in many levels. Which a group of exiles realise the only way to preserve what they have, is to defy the galactic empire who face a pending destruction.

the series showrunner is Batman Begins/The Dark Knight writer David Goyer. He introduces the trailer and the beginning plays a little like a featurette. Promises of alien races and visually stunning scenery . Apple TV+ are still looking for that premiere hit, could this be the show to deliver that?

The future begins in 2021.

Based on the award-winning novels by Isaac Asimov, Foundation chronicles a band of exiles on their monumental journey to save humanity and rebuild civilization amid the fall of the Galactic Empire

The series stars SAG Award-winner and Emmy-nominee Jared Harris as Hari Seldon; Lee Pace as Brother Day; Lou Llobell as Gaal; Leah Harvey as Salvor; Laura Birn as Demerzel; Terrence Mann as Brother Dusk; and Cassian Bilton as play Brother Dawn.

Foundation is set to launch on Apple TV+ in 2021.
