Watch The Intense Trailer for The Boy Behind the Door

If you were able to watch Fantastic Fest online last year one of the big highlights was The Boy Behind The Door. Next month Shudder subscribers will get a chance to watch the film, today it’s the intense official Trailer!

The film marks the second film for filmmakers David Charbonier and Justin Powell who wrote the script. Ironically this film was made before their debut feature Djinn, this time the terror is human but still equally harrowing and gripping.

Friendship and quest for survival as a night of unimaginable terror awaits twelve-year-old boy and his friend. As Bobby and his friend Kevin walk home from school the pair are kidnapped. He manages to escape and help his friend avoiding his captors every move, however he hears another stranger talk about an arrangement making his quest to free his friend even more determined.

This has some potential genuinely terrifying moments make this one worthy of a look when its released…

A night of unimaginable terror awaits twelve-year-old Bobby and his best friend, Kevin, when they are abducted on their way home from school. Managing to escape his confines, Bobby navigates the dark halls, praying his presence goes unnoticed as he avoids his captor at every turn. Even worse is the arrival of another stranger, whose mysterious arrangement with the kidnapper may spell certain doom for Kevin. With no means of calling for help and miles of dark country in every direction, Bobby embarks on a rescue mission, determined to get himself and Kevin out alive… or die trying.

The films cast includes Lonnie Chavis, Ezra Dewey, Kristin Bauer Van Straten, Scott Michael Foster and Micah Hauptman.

The Boy Behind the Door will be exclusively released on Shudder from 29th July.
