Smart Dog Productions have sent us over the UK Trailer for Kike Maíllo’s darkly twisted A Perfect Enemy.

Based on the book by Amélie Nothomb, The Enemy’s Cosmetique . A Perfect Enemy follows a successful architect Jeremy who meets a mysterious young woman at the airport. She’s a bit odd but very talkative forcing Jeremy to miss his flight

Speaking about the film, Director Kike Maíllo said – “In an era when we are permanently exhibiting ourselves, with “A Perfect Enemy” I wanted to talk about the monsters we keep in the closet. About the sins we try to hide from others and ourselves. Those faults that we sweep under the carpet hoping that no one will ever be able to uncover them.”

We do enjoy a twisted Psychological thrillers and this one has a Promising Young Woman vibe to it, but darker, more mysterious. We can’t say it’s on the same level as Emerald Fernell’s film, this might be worth a look…

A successful architect Jeremy Angust is approached on his trip to Paris by a strange young woman who will not leave him alone. Missing his flight and trapped in the airport lounge he is unable to get rid of the annoying stranger. Although the meeting at first seems to be by chance, soon there is a turn that will transform the nature of their encounter into something much more sinister and criminal.
