Watch The Dark Fable UK Trailer For FrightFest Presents The Dark

Beware of the woods and watch the UK Trailer for The Dark. The new atmospheric horror from Justin P.Lange which made it’s UK Premiere at 2018 Arrow Video FrightFest. Now the film has finished it’s festival run, now its time for the home entertainment release.
We’re not biggest fans of calling films “the next…” but sometimes we have to use a familiar film to compare it too. This film has gotten a lot of Let The Right One In comparisons, with the elements of love between a ‘creature’ love for a human.
Based on Lange’s 2013 short film Mina a ghoulish creature, her face a mess of rotting wounds, she still manages to evoke sympathy, despite her penchant for swinging axes and tearing out throats. Finding sympathy and love for a abused blind boy she finds locked in a car.
Signature Entertainment has us the film’s UK Trailer, the first film of the new FrightFest Presents label…An undead young woman, Mina, stalks the ‘Devil’s Den’ woods where she was killed. If anyone enters the woods, she kills them and feasts on the body. But when she stumbles upon a young blind boy named Alex in the back of a car, who shows signs of horrifying abuse, she can’t bring herself to kill him. As police and locals close in, searching for Alex, Mina’s growing relationship with him changes her in ways she never thought possible.
Bradley Hadcroft got a chance to watch The Dark at this year’s Arrow Video FrightFest. You can read his review which is part of his Day Five Post.
The film stars Nadia Alexander (The Sinner) as Mina, Toby Nichols (American Horror Story), and Karl Markovics (The Counterfeiters).
FrightFest Presents The Dark will be released on DVD and Digital HD on 22nd October, courtesy of Signature Entertainment.
