Watch New Intense Red Band Trailer For Mile 22

Mile 22 (2018)

If you think Donald Trump is a nasty piece of work, in Peter Berg‘s Mile 22 you will truly see how nasty they really are. In the second UK Trailer (and Red Band version) the government will do anything to ‘silence’ the witness. That means there’s only one option, the third option, enter Mark Wahlberg.

Berg and Wahlberg are certainly forming a successful relationship after a run of critical triumphs in true stories. Berg has now taken a few steps back (hopefully in a positive) way with a crime action thriller. The question is can Mr.Wahlberg deliver the witness to safe grounds? If a fight breaks out that witness will come in helpful as he’s none other than Iko Uwais from The Raid!

Intense is an understatement for this trailer. It’s certainly violent, in a way reminds me a little of the 1980’s type actioners with a modern edge. We do miss The Raid films and a chance to see Iko Uwais kicking some but is mouthwatering.

My one problem is Berg likes to go one or two many steps into patriotism. Nothing wrong of being proud of where you’re from but Berg in his early films liked to rub it into your face. Does this trailer give a bit too much away? Or is it selling us the fact, we’ll be watching for all the action rather the plot? Whatever you believe, this looks a good old slobberknocker I’m looking forward too!
