Watch First Trailer For Back To Black, Amy Winehouse Biopic

Her life, her music, her legacy behold and watch the first UK Trailer for Back To Black. The biopic for troubled and talented singer Amy Winehouse, set for UK Cinema release in April.
You didn’t have be a fan of her music to know how gifted Amy Winehouse was. A distinctive voice who opened doors to a young generation into Jazz as much as soul music. Sadly Amy died in 2011 at the young age of 27, plagued by addiction, press intrusion. She would die of accidental alcohol poisoning at the height of her career.
Sam Taylor-Johnson (Nowhere Boy) directs this one with Marisa Abela (Industry) as the music icon. ing cast includes Jack O’Connell as Blake Fielder-Civil, Eddie Marsan as Mitch Winehouse, Juliet Cowan as Janis Winehouse and Lesley Manville as Amy’s grandmother, Cynthia.
The film promises to chart Winehouse’s vibrant years living in London and her intense journey to fame. From her debut album Frank (2003) and Back To Black (2006). Abela actually will be singing all of the songs featured in the film.
Sam Taylor-Johnson‘s previous films ( Fifty Shades Of Grey, A Million Little Pieces) might have been questionable. This biopic looks promising and hopefully same in quality to Nowhere Boy.
A celebration of the most iconic – and much missed – homegrown star of the 21st century, BACK TO BLACK tells the extraordinary tale of Amy Winehouse. Painting a vivid, vibrant picture of the Camden streets she called home and capturing the struggles of global fame, BACK TO BLACK honours Amy’s artistry, wit, and honesty, as well as trying to understand her demons. An unflinching look at the modern celebrity machine and a powerful tribute to a once-in-a-generation talent.
Back To Black will be released by Studiocanal in the UK and Irish cinemas from 12th April.
