When a parent dies your world falls apart literally. In Laurence Vannicelli’s Psychological Horror Mother May I? Do you expect your wife to suddenly be like your mum? Vertigo Releasing have released the UK Trailer that oozes some major creepiness.

The film did play several genre Film Festivals and is now ready for it’s general release digitally. Is this possession, mushrooms or something more unnerving? The film stars Kyle Gallner and Holland Rode including Michael Giannone and Chris Mulkey.

The film follows Emmett (Gallner) recently lost his estranged mother. With his soon to be wife he heads to his childhood home, to sort out things before it heads onto the market for sale. However things take a drastic nightmarish turn after Emmett heads to therapy, when his partner start to act like his deceased mother! Is it possession?

Reality and fantasy blur so much to a point it’s hard to know what’s what. For this film that’s what we want and this looks genuinely creepy…

Emmett enters into a nightmarish game of therapy with his wife Anya, who has inexplicably taken on the persona of his estranged and recently-deceased mother. Bizarre and creepy in equal doses, this psychological thriller will keep you guessing if this is truly possession or just a twisted battle of wills.

Mother May I? Will be released in the UK and Ireland on Digital from 21st August.
