Brad Pitt’s Moneyball has had its UK Trailer premier online thanks to MSNUK, which is coming to UK&Ireland on November 25th. You maybe saying to yourself  you don’t have a single clue about baseball and its mind boggling scoring, tactic systems. Don’t worry we’re all a little bowled over too here at The Peoples Movies too however if your a sucka for sports and sports drama particular you will enjoy this one, especially if you enjoyed movies like David O Russell’s The Fighter. Moneyball tells the story of Billy Beane (Pitt) the man who became the Oakland A’s manager taking them from the depths of obscurity to become Major League Baseball’s most successful team building a team with no budget (something thats real today for many teams) and stats created by a Ivy Leaguer (Jonah Hill).

The movie is based on a book called The Art of Winning an Unfair Game by Michael. M. Lewis which has been adapted by none other than Aaron Sonkin(Social Network) another good reason to check this out. The movie will make its world premier at Toronto Film Festival in September, there is hope the movie will be at London film festival in October but nothing has been confirmed we should find out this time next week when the festival’s programme is annouced.

Moneyball also stars Kathryn Morris, Philip Seymour Hoffman,Chris Pratt, Glenn Morshower, Brent Jennings, Arliss Howard and Robin Wright.

*UPDATE* (5th September Sony Pictures Today sent us over the new UK Trailer with poster check them out below, thanks guys!)

MONEYBALL is a movie for anybody who has ever dreamed of taking on the system. Brad Pitt stars as Billy Beane, the general manager of the Oakland A’s and the guy who assembles the team, who has an epiphany: all of baseball’s conventional wisdom is wrong. Forced to reinvent his team on a tight budget, Beane will have to outsmart the richer clubs. The onetime jock teams with Ivy League grad Peter Brand (Jonah Hill) in an unlikely partnership, recruiting bargain players that the scouts call flawed, but all of whom have an ability to get on base, score runs, and win games. It’s more than baseball, it’s a revolution – one that challenges old school traditions and puts Beane in the crosshairs of those who say he’s tearing out the heart and soul of the game.
