Tom Hardy Has A Monstrous Ego And Tongue In Venom Second Trailer

Venom (2018)

Two months time the Spider-Man Universe will get a lot larger when Venom comes to town. Today Sony Pictures has released a new Third Trailer and Tom Hardy has a lot to say. His Ego is monstrous, his tongue is too but at the look of this new trailer, the symbiote is now symbiotes!

The brand new Trailer is all about showcasing the titular anti-hero aka Eddie Brock, who loves to stroke his ego anyway he can. We see Eddie struggle as his new Alien ‘friend’ turns him into the Spider-Man foe we all love. They promise this one will be more ‘violent’ than any Marvel film. Could it match Logan or go one step above on the blood and action?

The tone of this trailer is a bit all over the place. First, we know it wants to take that darker route but Venom is a big cheeky chappy (a big set of scary gnashers), who loves a bit of fun. It can be a bit hit and miss mixing both tones.

We did mention earlier there was more than one symbiote and Dr. Carlton Drake (Riz Ahmed), the film’s ‘villain’ seems to be overtaken first. His character will be called Riot, so what about Carnage? Could that privilege lie at the feet of Woody Harrelson? Ruben Fleischer seems to have played it safe here playing to a ‘fan service’ rather being ambitious experimenting with the timeline.

The burning question like the previous Trailers, will Spider-Man ever make an appearance in this or any future films?
