Thunderbirds Are Go GO! In Trailer For ITV Series

The past decade it’s became ‘hip’ to bring back old films for a 21st century reboot, even television shows have comeback but did you ever think the Tracy Brothers would return? Thunderbirds are returning and ITV have now released the first trailer for Thunderbirds Are Go.

Recently the momentum of the legendary cult series returning to out small screens nearly ended in the first attempt when they revealed the modern look of all the characters. Whilst there’s still a signature Gerry Anderson trademark style they are no longer puppets but CGI Animations which has delivered a mixed response, so does this new trailer rest any worries for fans of the original series?

When disaster strikes and there’s no one else to help, International Rescue answers the call! From their secret island base, this family of highly trained responders can reach every corner of the globe – and beyond – in minutes. With their remarkable cutting edge Thunderbird Vehicles, brothers Scott, Virgil, John, Gordon and Alan Tracy along with head of security Kayo and lead engineer Brains pull off amazing feats of heroism. No rescue is too big and no journey too far to save a life. When duty calls, Thunderbirds are GO.

Whilst I was a kid in the mid 1970s into 1980s Thunderbirds where repeated constantly however Terrahawks where Anderson’s gift to kids our generation. Many may believe the trailer may have helped a little to ease the concerns but what this may do is start people questioning the need to bring certain films, tv shows back and how far things will go when rebooting them.

Thunderbirds Are Go will be aired on CITV channel from 15th April.
