We should all take our health seriously, should we take it from a fraudster? In first Trailer for Apple Cider Vinegar, Kaitlyn Dever things have gotten ‘sour’.
In the age of everything ‘we need’ is found online, people will anything for that cure especially when it comes from someone who had brain cancer. Would you? People did in the true story-ish based on Samantha Strauss limited series.
Apple Cider Vinegar is inspired by ‘The Woman Who Fooled the World’ written by Beau Donelly and Nick Toscano. It stars Dever as Belle Gibson, Australian influencer Wellness guru. Belle claimed to have a brain tumor and cured it with Instagram helping her rise on a lie. Using the social platform to it’s maximum inspiring millions worldwide, until those people pulled it down.
Netflix love their True Crime shows and they have plenty of great Docu-series to back that claim. Will this Australian based series that list? We wouldn’t be surprised!
Set at the birth of Instagram, APPLE CIDER VINEGAR follows two young women who set out to cure their life-threatening illnesses through health and wellness, influencing their global online communities along the way. All of which would be incredibly inspiring if it were all true.
This is a true-ish story based on a lie, about the rise and fall of a wellness empire; the culture that built it up and the people who tore it down.
The series also stars Alycia Debnam-Carey, Aisha Dee, Tilda Cobham-Hervey, Ashley Zukerman, Mark Coles Smith, Susie Porter, Chai Hansen, Matt Nable, Phoenix Raei, Richard Davies, Kieran Darcy-Smith, Catherine McClements, and Essie Davis.
The exact date Netflix will stream Apple Cider Vinegar has still to be announced. The channel will stream the 6 part limited series sometime in 2025.
