Things Get ‘Feral’ In Birdeater UK Trailer

Things will get ‘feral’ in May when Blue Finch Film Releasing bring Birdeater to UK cinemas. Today we get a look at the Aussie Psychological horror with the UK Trailer, be careful what you take!
Birdeater is the nightmarish and hallucinatory debut from writer-directors Jack Clark and Jim Weir about a weekend of fun that descends into drug-fuelled ferocity. That weekend of fun is a bachelor/ Stag party and universally along with Hen parties chaos is part of the game. I will be on one in a couple of weeks, thankfully I can say Ayr Scotland and Australia are not the same!
The film premiered at the Sydney Film Festival leaving with the audience award. It really taps into the horror tropes, the techniques used in the genre with great effect. It won’t a comfortable watch as it looks like some secrets maybe unearthed. Is this fully a horror or simply a psychological thriller, either one sign us up please!
Recently engaged Irene has been invited to her fiancé, Louie, and his friends on his bachelor party at an isolated house out in the sticks. As the festivities are plunged into drunken and substance-fuelled chaos, secrets begin to unravel, and the night soon becomes a feral nightmare.
Birdeater is an uncompromising look at how Australia’s iconic masculine identity has become incompatible with modern society and premiered at SXSW before playing Sydney International Film Festival and Melbourne International Film Festival.
The film stars Shabana Azeez, Mackenzie Fearnley, Ben Hunter, Jack Bannister, Clementine Anderson, Alfie Gledhill, Harley Wilson, and Caroline McQuade.
Birdeater will be released in UK and Irish cinemas on 9th May, before heading to Digital Platforms on the 26th May.
