The Stakes Are High For Mia Goth In First MaXXXine UK Trailer

It’s finally here and she’s back! Universal Pictures have released the UK Trailer for MaXXXine and the stakes are high for Mia Goth.

This Summer Ti West will finally complete his trilogy of films starring Goth. Starting in the middle with X, 1970’s Porn Star Maxine Minx, to full technicolour 1920’s set Pearl. Completing things now in the 1980’s with Maxine now trying to be a legit actress. There is only one place you head to is Los Angeles and Hollywood, Tinseltown.

In MaXXXine our star is born, Maxine well she hopes to be. After surviving the massacre witnessed in the first film our protagonist wants to be a legit actress. She’s following her dreams, the only person following her seems to be a mysterious stalker who kills those wannabe. Will it reveal her past too?

West has always wanted to do a Dario Argento slasher style thriller and now he has one. It’s also inspired by those old VHS video nasties and from the reaction of the recent U.S version fans are loving it! And…cut!

After surviving a massacre, Maxine (Mia Goth) moves out to Los Angeles in the early 1980s to pursue her dreams of becoming a famous actress. As a mysterious killer stalks the starlets of Hollywood, a trail of blood threatens to reveal her sinister past.

The rest of the cast for MaXXXine is Elizabeth Debicki, Moses Sumney, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Halsey, Lily Collins, Giancarlo Esposito and Kevin Bacon. Universal Pictures will release the UK and Irish cinemas on 9th August (A24 will release the film Stateside 5th July).
