The Peoples Movies – Top Films Of 2019 (The Writers)

2020 is knocking on the door, in a few hours 2019 will be over so will the decade. So it’s time to deliver our annual Top Films of 2019. Our writers who are based around the world and this post we share our best films of the year. We are cinephiles like you and our picks will be differ, but that’s ok. Films are subjective and for everyone so we don’t expect you to agree or disagree with every pick.

First of all apologies for posting this post later than expected. We have several lists  we want to share with you over the next few days. Early January we also hope to share some of best films of the decade (2010-2019) too.

The big burning question, this time we ask every year, was this year better than last year? 2019 was a year of endings for certain franchises and start of some new ones.

2019 was the year of Netflix with Roma winning Oscars. The Two Popes, The Irishman, Marriage Story, The King, The Laundromat, I Lost My Body  all made their marks. I could have gone on forever with the streaming giants films, all delivered from wonderful to damn right awful.

So here we go, our Writers Top Films of 2019. The film choices are based on UK release dates, however thanks to previews, or the writer is not UK based there will be some films not released just yet…
