The Lines Are Blurred In The Trailer For Bliss

Amazon have released the Official Trailer for the sci-fi thriller Bliss. The film stars Owen Wilson and Salma Hayek as reality and simulation lines are blurred as they chase something real.

The film looks to challenge those to wake up and see the truth for yourself. Sound familiar? There is a streak of The Matrix in this as in what our leading characters desire and want. Nothing looks straightforward, this is also a film directed by Mike Cahill (I, Origins & Another Earth) a concept he’s good at.

The film follows Wilson and Hayek play an unfulfilled man who has an recurring dream of an mysterious woman he’s never met. When they do meet at a bar, the pair believe they are living in a simulated reality. When their newfound ‘Bliss’ world begins to bleed into the ‘ugly’ world they must decide what’s real and where they truly belong.

Bliss is a mind-bending love story following Greg (Owen Wilson) who, after recently being divorced and then fired, meets the mysterious Isabel (Salma Hayek), a woman living on the streets and convinced that the polluted, broken world around them is nothing but a computer simulation. Doubtful at first, Greg eventually discovers there may be some truth to Isabel’s wild conspiracy.

The film also stars Nesta Cooper, Madeline Zima, DeRon Horton, Jorge Lendeborg Jr. and Joshua Leonard.

Bliss will Launch Worldwide on Prime Video on 5th February.
