The Greatest Showman Takes The Number 1 Spot On The Official Film Chart

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again slips just a place to 2 and prehistoric monster-shark movie The Meg, treads water at 3 for a second week.
Elsewhere in the Official Film Chart Top 10, which includes sales up to and including 29th December 2018, there are a couple of Christmas favourites; The Grinch at 4 and Home Alone climbs eleven places to 7.
Denzel Washington’s The Equalizer 2 rises one place to 5 as does Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible – Fallout which is right behind at 6. Finishing this week’s Top 10 are non-mover Ant-Man And The Wasp at 8. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom soars three places to Number 9 on its ninth week on the chart and Ewan McGregor in Christopher Robin falls six places to 10.
This week’s Official Film Chart Weekly Show video is a special teaser of many of the great films that will be available on disc and in the first quarter of this year. Featured titles include the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, heist movie King of Thieves, dark comedy A Simple Favour and anti-hero film Venom to name just a few.
The Official Film Chart is unveiled each Wednesday and is the subject of a Top 10 Official Film Chart online show, published on OfficialCharts.com and available for media syndication.
