Stranger Things Sadie Sink Stars In Heart Wrenching Dear Zoe

Sadie Sink in Dear Zoe

Sadie Sink got her chance to shine even more in Stranger Things, she gets another chance to shine in Dear Zoe.

Reel2Reel Films have announced the coming of age indie drama is set for an UK Digital release next month. Before we get to see her in Darren Aronofsky‘s The Whale she has this tearjerker. She plays a teen girl coping with the loss of her sister, she finds in the shape of her biological father. Nick is a slacker who finds himself in constant trouble however he wants to do his best for his daughter. Whilst coping with that grief and guilt a blossoming romance starts.

A solid film for a rising star…

When Tess (Sadie Sink – The Whale) and her family suffer an unimaginable loss during a seismic historical event
that changed the world forever, she finds from a surprising source: her biological father, Nick (Theo Rossi) – a lovable slacker from the wrong side of the tracks.

Grief-stricken and guilt-ridden, Tess must grapple with her own devastating, life-altering loss while also navigating life as a budding young woman – and all the challenges that come with this.

As her family grieves in their own ways, Tess meets Jimmy (Kweku Collins) – the charming but edgy juvenile
delinquent next door. Struggling to make sense of her own and her family’s grief, can Tess learn to forgive herself
and move on?

Filmed from the perspective of a young female protagonist, Dear Zoe tackles relatable and pertinent subjects–
grief, pain, and relationships. Sink excels as an adolescent narrator who is savvy, naïve, comionate, world weary, funny, and heartbreakingly honest.

The film also stars Theo Rossi, Jessica Capshaw, Justin Bartha, Kweku Collins, and Vivien Lyra Blair. Dear Zoe will be released in the UK and Ireland on Digital Platforms from 7th November.
