Unveil First Look At True Crime Drama The Girl From Plainville

Streaming service Starzplay , has acquired the hotly anticipated true crime drama The Girl From Plainville from NBCUniversal for the platform in the UK and Ireland, starring Elle Fanning.

Some people don’t realise the power they have in their hands. What I mean is the mobile phone which lets us phone and text family and friends. The series focuses on Michelle Carter (Fanning) and her relationship with Conrad Roy III who died all thanks to a text message sent to him by Michelle asking him to commit suicide.

Starzplay have sent us a couple of first look images which show off Fanning has used facial prosthetics to portray her character…

Based on the definitive Esquire article by Jesse Barron, “The Girl From Plainville” stars Elle Fanning as Michelle Carter and is inspired by the true story of her unprecedented ‘texting-suicide’ case. The limited series explores Carter’s relationship with Conrad Roy III and the events that led to his death and, later, her conviction of involuntary manslaughter.

Alongside Fanning, the series stars Cara Buono as Gail Carter, Kai Lennox as David Carter, and Norbert Leo Butz as Conrad “Co” Roy II.

The Girl From Plainville will be released On Starzplay in the UK, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, , , Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Japan, and Latin America including Brazil and Mexico.
