You could argue that World War 3 is knocking our door, leaving our minds horrifically think in what scenarios might lie ahead of us thanks to an outcome thanks to war. World War 2 and weaponary where different horrors, terrifingly weapons of today wars can be over in minutes, the threat of nuclear weapons asking us would I be any better running to cover and hide in a bunker? Whilst the cause of Jen living in a bunker might not be as clear your mind will wonder on what lives outside those so called walls you feel safe in.
We can see during the film Jenn’s family go on dangerous family on dangerous supply runs leave our protagonist on her own . When your at an age your just wanting to explore been confined and living virtually like a morlock from HG Wells novel. It’s a parents nightmare when all their kids want to do is explore no fear of the real monsters that do haunt life, one day they may face some.
If its tension, deeply emotional and a sense of freedom ,entrapement with no idea of the world that lies behind the walls you’ve called home for a long time, Monsters will deliver.
