Second The Black Phone Trailer Teases More Ethan Hawke’s Killer Side

Every call is a life line and this June will you answer the call of The Black Phone? Universal Pictures have released the second UK Trailer for the horror thriller which teases Ethan Hawkes ‘killer side’.

If you are looking for the creepiest of creepy serial killer Ethan Hawke is that man. With his disturbing mask which promises a side of the actor, it’s also Scott Derrickson’s return to horror. The Blumhouse film is his first horror since The Exorcism Of Emily Rose.

The film takes us back to the 1970’s with Mason Thames plays the shy Finney Shaw. Every parents nightmare when finds himself kidnapped by a sadistic killer posing as a magician (Hawke). The masked killer has the nickname of The Grabber who imprisons Finney in a basement who gets a call from the grave, promising to help make sure he’s not another victim.

A serial killer thriller with a supernatural twist? Sign us up! That mask takes the killer persona to another level and we’re intrigued to see this one.

Director Scott Derrickson returns to his terror roots and partners again with the foremost brand in the genre, Blumhouse, with a new horror thriller.

Finney Shaw, a shy but clever 13-year-old boy, is abducted by a sadistic killer and trapped in a soundproof basement where screaming is of little use. When a disconnected phone on the wall begins to ring, Finney discovers that he can hear the voices of the killer’s previous victims. And they are dead set on making sure that what happened to them doesn’t happen to Finney.

The film also co- stars Jeremy Davies, Madeleine McGraw, J. Gaven Wilde, James Ransone, and E. Roger Mitchell.
