Say No To Slo-Mo Dredd 3D Viral, Clip & TV Spot

The message coming out of Mega City One is ‘say no to Slo-Mo!’ If you continue the ‘drug experience’ the judges will provide you with a nice new home, a Iso cube! With just over 2 weeks to go until Mega City’s greatest ever Law enforcer Judge Dredd  hit’s UK&Irish cinemas with Dredd 3D. As per usual as the we get closer to the film’s release date the flurry of new assets will arrive and tonight with have several things A new clip, first tv spot and the launch of the films viral site along with a 30 second Public Service announcement.

Starting with the clip we see Ma Ma (Lena Headey) declaring opening season in her controlled block initiating lock down and demanding the citizens of her block to take out the trash make Peach Trees block Judge free. You do get sense of the story and what mayhem lies ahead and it’s this scene which does help to bridge that similarity with a certain Indonesian action thriller The Raid! This time it’s not 30 floors of hell but multiply that by 3 or 4 times (possibly more!). We know Dredd is legendary and the new 30 second TV Spot plays on that legend status, in a way the spot is a summarised version of the film’s trailer and Judge Dredd is the law!

It wouldn’t be a blockbuster film without it’s viral site and today thedreddreport was launched. The site is modelled the drudgereport an American site which seems to have a republican stance so it has alot on common politically with Dredd’s fascist police state. Hidden within the site we see a lot of links but dig deeper there is Dredd related links there like the Public Service Announcement about the dangers of using the illicit substance known as “Slo-Mo.” kids don’t take drugs and like they did in Grange Hill just say No! Unless you want a iso-cube!
