Russell Crowe Sings In New UK Trailer For Les Miserables

We know Anne Hathaway ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ but not until now have we had a trailer which reveals the singing talents for the rest of cast, watch the UK trailer for Tom Hooper‘s adaptation of Les Miserables.

The new trailer provides probably the most traditional look at the one of the most iconic musicals as well as the most popular in history sort leaves why has it taken so long to adapt this for the big screen. I’m not a fan of musicals but I do appreciate the importance of Les Miserables (based on a Victor Hugo Musical) and there’s very few which you could call epic not just in story but size of cast, it’s Les Miserables !

The trailer provides new footage and a chance to hear an actor you wouldn’t expect to show off his vocal chords, Russell Crowe who belts out 2 songs ‘One Day More’, ‘Do You Hear The People Sing?’! There’s also a chance to look the films central love story between Cosette (Amanda Seyfried) and Maruis(Eddie Redmayne) and if you think Les Mis’ is all serious we even get a little look at the Thenardiers, better known as Sacha Baron Cohen and Helena Boham Carter providing the humour to the fold.

Stylish and powerful are two words I would use to describe Les Miserables oh there is also the small matter of an all star ensembled cast of: Hugh Jackman,Russell Crowe, Eddie Redmayne, Amanda Seyfried, Sacha Baron Cohen, Helena Bonham Carter, Aaron Tveit, Samantha Barks, Isabelle Allen.

Les Miserables will be with us in UK&Ireland 11th January 2013, but if your in USA you’ll be in for a Christmas treat as it’s out 25th December.

Set against the backdrop of 19th-century , Les Misérables tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, ion, sacrifice and redemption–a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit. Jackman plays ex-prisoner Jean Valjean, hunted for decades by the ruthless policeman Javert (Crowe) after he breaks parole. When Valjean agrees to care for factory worker Fantine’s (Hathaway) young daughter, Cosette, their lives change forever.
