She maybe a Acting goddess to some but this September Meyrl Streep is attempting to be a Rock Goddess in Ricki And The Flash, watch new UK Trailer. In the latest trailer Streep shows off her guitar skills however her parental skills are lacking but can she reconnect with her family and beg forgiveness?

Ricki And The Flash sees Streep play Ricki Rendazzo, a guitar heroine who made a world of mistakes as she followed her dreams of rock-and-roll stardom. Returning home, Ricki gets a shot at redemption and a chance to make things right as she faces the music with her family.

Looking at the name of this film you would be forgiven to think Ricki And The Flash is either feature version of a cult 1980s Kids TV show or Streep trying her hand as Comic book genre. It seems the film has a bit of personal touch for writer Diablo Cody whose Mother In Law who happened to be a Bar singer in New Jersey. Streep’s character has alot of catching up but her family situation is complexed as seen in the featurette we posted earlier, things have an edge with the on-screen daughter who missed her Mother the most is played by Streep’s real life daughter Mamie Gummer! Will it be another Oscar success possibly but our money is on Suffragette to make an bigger impact when the awards season arrives. Never say never with Jonathan Demme behind the lens and Cody scripting anything can happen!
