Some of you may find it hard to believe that Kate Beckinsale who earlier this year was starring in arthouse period ‘comedy’ Love &Friendship is the same person who has played Selene The Death Dealer in Underworld franchise. It’s true and 2017 she returns as Selene in Underworld: Blood Wars and we have a second UK trailer and she returns for one simple reason. She has a bloodline to protect, check out the trailer…

Underworld may not be the box office smashing franchise, but we can’t argue it’s consistently provided with a fun vehicle in return a hardcore fanbase. In the new promo, it looks like Underworld goes all out Game Of Thrones as the vampires up the ante with the Lycans. Now does Selene now have a fur coat version of Doctor Strange‘s Cloak of Levitation? Whatever it is we do get a nice glimpse at some of those new pimped up super powers.

In Underworld: Blood Wars we once again follow Vampire death dealer, Selene (Kate Beckinsale) as she fends off brutal attacks from both the Lycan clan and the Vampire faction that betrayed her. With her only allies, David (Theo James) and his father Thomas (Charles Dance), she must stop the eternal war between Lycans and Vampires, even if it means she has to make the ultimate sacrifice.

Whatever’s in the pool the injured Selena has been bathed in has given her rebirth, dad’s of the world will be happy to see she’s still wearing her all in one leather catsuit. Like Resident Evil, Underworld you know what you’re getting  when you buy a cinema ticket unrelenting action horror fantasy

Underworld: Blood Wars is set for a UK&Irish release of 3rd February 2017 also starring Lara Pulver,Tobias Menzies,Bradley James, Daisy Head and James Faulkner. With Anna Foerster directing
