Peter Parker faces the Elementals in new ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ trailer

The big question of how Sony would tackle the marketing for the Spider-Man flick has finally been answered.
With Spider-Man currently floating around as dust particles thanks to Thanos’ Decimation (aka The Snappening), fans wondered how Sony could possibly market Spider-Man: Far From Home before Avengers: Endgame inevitably brings Peter Parker back from the dead. Well today we finally have the answer as Sony publicly released the first trailer for the webslingers sequel and that answer is…as if Thanos never happened.
Check out the trailer for yourself below:
Peter Parker returns in Spider-Man: Far From Home, the next chapter of the Spider-Man: Homecoming series! Our friendly neighbourhood Super Hero decides to his best friends Ned, MJ, and the rest of the gang on a European vacation. However, Peter’s plan to leave super heroics behind for a few weeks are quickly scrapped when he begrudgingly agrees to help Nick Fury uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks, creating havoc across the continent!
Shortly after releasing the trailer, Sony debuted a new poster for the superhero flick, showing Spider-Man going full tourist:Jon Watts returns to direct the sequel after his commercial and critical success on Spider-Man: Homecoming. Also returning for the sequel are Tom Holland as Peter Parker, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Marissa Tomei, Jon Favreau and Michael Keaton coming back as Adrian Toomes/Vulture. The star studded cast gets even better with Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders ing as Nick Fury and Maria Hill respectively, whilst Jake Gyllenhaal is playing master illusionist Quentin Beck aka Mysterio.
With all of those names attached and a story that seems to be diverging from the source material quite a bit, the expectations for this film are only growing.
Spider-Man: Far From Home will arrive in UK cinemas on July 5th 2019.
