Olivier Jackson-Cohen Has ‘Old Baggage’ In Jackdaw UK Trailer

Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Olivia Colman can’t get enough of each other. The pair will appear together in UK based thriller Jackdaw and today Vertigo Releasing unearth the UK Trailer. Teasing that our leading man has a lot of old baggage and now on the run for his life!

This is a American indie and not too many American films get shot in Hartlepool, North East England. Jamie Child’s film is one of them which made it’s world premiere at Fantastic Fest back in September.

Olivier-Cohen is an Army-veteran and former motocross champ now looking after his young brother. He really needs cash and agrees to pick up a mysterious package out in the North Sea. He returns to find he’s been double-crossed and his brother now missing forcing him to go on the run for his life and search for his brother. Looks a slick thriller…

JACKDAW is an unrelenting action thriller set over the course of a single night against the backdrop of North East England, an area where breath taking coastal landscapes meet the brutality of industry. Jack Dawson, a former motocross champion and army veteran, returns to his hometown to care for his brother after their mother dies. Hoping to start a new life, he takes what could be a life-changing job for an old school friend turned local criminal, Silas. What should have been a straightforward pick-up of a package in the North Sea turns into a nightmare when Jack is double-crossed, and his brother is kidnapped. As he fights for survival and searches for answers, Jack encounters friends and adversaries old and new across a violent night-time odyssey through England’s Northern rust belt.

Jackdaw also stars Thomas Turgoose (Creation Stories, The Gallows Pole, This is England) and Rory McCann (Game of Thrones). Further cast includes Joe Blakemore (The Third Day), Vivienne Acheampong (The Sandman) and Leon Harrop (Ralph & Katie). The film will be in UK and Irish cinemas from 26th January 2024.
