Whilst her current film destroys box office records worldwide in its first week pre The Hunger Games the young actress kept up tradition by appearing in a horror-slasher flick pre stardom as this film looks pretty bog standard generic film. Its certain critically this wont be great however great marketing from the team waiting to see how The Hunger Games does at the box office and try steal some of the thunder to get a few more bums on seats when this arrive in cinemas near you.
Directed by Mark Tonderai based on a Jonathan Mostow (Surrogates) script the film stars Elisabeth Shue, along with Lawrence a mother daughter who who move into a dream rural house but start to go very wrong. When you see the trailer you wonder how different things could have been if only she had some of Katniss skills?! When I saw the name of this film I could only think this is one of those blink or you’ll miss remakes of old once banned now re-released 1970’s/80’s video nasties apparently its not, but as for the actual story thismight be a run of the mill slasher/ horror or possibly something supernatural!

What a great idea to release this in September. Not only is its release date smartly near Halloween, but Jennifer Lawrence is quickly becoming one of Hollywood’s most sought out actresses. The gap between this and ‘The Hunger Games’ is long enough to build up interest in watching a film with Katniss that may or may not be scary!
The overall premise is general enough, if seemingly a rip-off of many other horror films. However, I am a huge horror film fan. I have no shame in saying that I find somethingreedamable about nearly every horror film I have ever seen. Therefore, you can count me in as not only interesting in the film because Katniess is in it, but also as an avid horror fillm watcher.
