Last night the annual Golden Globes took place. The 78 edition of the award went digital with a lot of dodgy wi-fi and mistimed jokes with the usual slice of controversary. Beyond the technical problems, Nomadland and The Crown emerged big winners.

There was no surprise and Chloe Zhao‘s drama winning last night. Starring s McDormand as a homeless woman living a ‘nomadic’ life off the grid travelling through the American West. The film picked Best Drama and Best Director awards.

Netflix’s Royal family drama The Crown was the other big winner with Josh O’Connor and Emma Corrin winning Best Actor/Actress in TV Drama. Gillian Anderson won best ing in a TV drama for her role as Margaret Thatcher with show winning Best TV Series award too.

It was another big night for British Television and Film. With Daniel Kaluuya for his role in The Queen’s Gambit won best Limited TV series with Anya Taylor-Joy picking up for first ever award for Best Actress in limited series.
