Nicole Kidman Faces Life Changing Issues In Expats First Trailer

We’ve been waiting a few months to get a glimpse at Lulu Wang‘s limited edition series Expats. Today Prime Video end that wait with releasing the official Trailer for that series starring Nicole Kidman who has to face some life changing situations.
No one escapes trauma, it comes in all shapes and size, all devasting. Wang directs this series which is her first project since her acclaimed The Farewell which was released in 2019. This is based the internationally best-selling novel The Expatriates by Janice Y. K. Lee. Based around three American women living in the expat community in Hong Kong and how their lives interconnected thanks to tragedy.
Next to Kidman, the other two women are played by Sarayu Blue, and Ji-young Yoo. Jack Huston, Brian Tee plus Flora Chan also star.
The trailer gives you a taste of the tone we can expect. Powerful stuff as much as it’s a visually beautiful look series which is bursting with emotion.

Set against the vibrant and tumultuous tapestry of 2014 Hong Kong, Expats centers on three American women—Margaret (Nicole Kidman), Hilary (Sarayu Blue), and Mercy (Ji-young Yoo)—whose lives intersect after a sudden family tragedy. The series interrogates privilege and explores what happens when the line between victimhood and culpability becomes blurred. Brian Tee plays Margaret’s husband Clarke and Jack Huston plays Hilary’s husband David.
The six-part limited drama series Expats will premiere with two episodes on 26th January 26 2024, with new episodes following weekly on Prime Video.
