National Anthem Starring Charlie Plummer Gets A UK Trailer

Blue Finch Releasing have released the official UK Trailer for Luke Gilford‘s indie drama, National Anthem, set for release next month.
The film stars Charlie Plummer (Lean On Pete) in this one next to Eve Lindley, Rene Rosado, Mason Alexander Park, and Robyn Lively. The film marks Gilford‘s directorial feature debut who is more known for his work as a photographer and National Anthem is inspired by his own photo book of the same name. The film premiered at last year’s SXSW, Toronto and recently Raindance which the film closed.
The film is about Dylan (Plummer), a young construction work who is offered an opportunity to work at a ranch. This ranch is also the home of IGRA (International Gay Rodeo Association), a place the performers live their lives free of discrimination. This ranch gives Dylan a chance to explore himself and identity.
This is a coming of age tale of friendship and exploring your identity. The American rodeo has always seen as a place of masculinity, don’t expect this in this film!
A tender coming-of-age story starring Charlie Plummer. Quiet construction worker Dylan (Plummer) is stuck in a cycle of odd jobs to help his family stay afloat. When he finds himself with the opportunity to work at a ranch, he is welcomed by a vibrant community of queer rodeo performers who openly explore their identities, giving Dylan the space to do the same. A soulful exploration of self-identity with a vivid rural Americana backdrop.
National Anthem is directed by Luke Gilford and stars Charlie Plummer, Eve Lindley and Rene Rosado. It premiered at SXSW before playing Toronto International Film Festival and Raindance.
National Anthem is on UK and Ireland digital platforms 9th December from Blue Finch Film Releasing.
