You all know how much we adore Naoko Yamada‘s The Colors Within. All The Anime have now released a English dubbed version of the Trailer, still looks delightful.

The Colors Within is a sincere coming-of-age story about a girl called Totsuko who can see the colours of people’s hearts. Finding herself drawn to Kimi who forms a band with Rui,  a boy ionate for music. Totsuko s them and the three get closer together all thanks to the music helping learn about who they are, and what their true ‘colour’ is.

Our resident writer for all things Anime and Asian cinema Robert Ewing loved this film. That much he’s quoted on most if not all of the UK promotion, well done Robert!

Totsuko is a high school student with the ability to see the ‘colours’ of others. Colours of bliss, excitement, and serenity, plus a colour she treasures as her favourite. Kimi, a classmate at her school, gives off the most beautiful colour of all. Although she doesn’t play an instrument, Totsuko forms a band with Kimi and Rui, a quiet music enthusiast they meet at a used bookstore in a far corner of town. As they practise at an old church on a remote island, music brings them together, forming friendships and stirring affections. Will they discover their true ‘colours’?

The Colors Within will be in UK and Irish cinemas next Friday 31st January. Head over to the film’s official website to book tickets as well as find your nearest cinema screening the film.
