The Circle of life is one of The Lion King and Disney’s iconic songs ever. This month Mufasa: The Lion King will arrive in cinemas later this month and today we get a look at the music from the film.

Amazing to think that classic Disney animation is now 30 years old. The latest version is the sequel to the 2019 CGI remake however from the origins of the classic film. Some wondered why did Moana 2? Simple he was creating the music for Mufasa and this Featurette celebrates the music the award winning producer has created.

Additionally on 13th December Walt Disney Records will be releasing the film’s soundtrack.  You can pre-order/buy here, then buy your tickets for the film!

Mufasa: The Lion King enlists Rafiki to relay the legend of Mufasa to young lion cub Kiara, daughter of Simba and Nala, with Timon and Pumbaa lending their signature schtick. Told in flashbacks, the story introduces Mufasa as an orphaned cub, lost and alone until he meets a sympathetic lion named Taka—the heir to a royal bloodline. The chance meeting sets in motion an expansive journey of an extraordinary group of misfits searching for their destiny—their bonds will be tested as they work together to evade a threatening and deadly foe.

The voice cast for this film includes Aaron Pierre, John Kani, Billy Eichner, Seth Rogen, Kelvin Harrison Jr, Tiffany Boone, Kagiso Lediga, Preston Nyman, Thandiwe Newton, Mads Mikkelsen, Anika Noni Rose, Keith David, John Kani, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter. Braelyn Rankins, Theo Somolu, Folake Olowofoyeku, Joanna Jones, Thuso Mbedu, Sheila Atim, Abdul Salis and Dominique Jennings.

Mufasa: The Lion King release is close, when it’s released in the UK, Ireland and the U.S on 20th December.
