Meet Natasha’s Family In The First Black Widow Trailer

Black Widow (2020)

When it comes to MCU, unless  your an aficionado of all things Marvel many of us unaware of history of the characters. 2020 we will all know about Black Widow back story when  she finally gets her solo film. The big question is it,  has Marvel taken too long in releasing this?

Today Marvel Studios has released the first Black Widow Trailer. Without saying too much about Natasha Romanoff’s fate from Avengers: Endgame, it will be an ’emotional look’.  In this first promo  we will meet her family and what shaped her to be that, self-forgiveness.

Unless you are an avid reader of all things Marvel comics, our former KGB heroine past is non existent. Like some of us we may know the names of the popular characters like Captain America, Iron Man, Thor. This film promises to deliver an insight into her hero’s history. To be precise marking what happened after Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War/ Endgame.

As for the actual plot, the details are very thin. What we do know is we’ll finally get to see what actually happened in Budapest. The opening scene of the trailer is the Hungarian capital, a tease that’s intrigued fans since the first Avengers films. To complicate things this film takes place after Civil War post Avengers first film.Could there be a flashback?

We also might see how Natasha was recruited as we get a glimspe at an younger Thaddeus Ross (William Hurt). We did mention family and step forward Natasha’s sister…Yelena Belova. Played by Florence Pugh also a product of the Black Widow Programme. Rachel Weisz looks like to be a product of the programme as Melina who becomes Iron Maiden. Talking of villains The Taskmaster  makes an appearance as does David Harbourā€˜s Red Guardian, the Russian version of Captain America.

Black Widow is directed by Cate Shortland who brought us Lore and Berlin Syndrome. The film is set for an 1st May 2020.
