Maleficent: Mistress of Evil reigns at Number 1 At Official Film Film Chart

Angelina Jolie is Maleficent in Disney’s MALEFICENT: MISTRESS OF EVIL.
Disney sequel Maleficent: Mistress of Evil takes its place a Number 1 on the Official Film Chart, following its release on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD. Shifting Over 100,000 copies this week, Angelina Jolie’s latest fantasy tale knocks last week’s chart-topper Joker down to Number 2.
This week’s highest new entry is Terminator: Dark Fate (3). The sixth instalment of the franchise – and direct sequel to Terminator 2 – sees Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger reprise their roles of Sarah Connor and the Terminator respectively. In the film, a Human Resistance soldier (Mackenzie Davis) is sent back in time to protect a young girl, whose fate is critical to the human race, and is being hunted by an advanced Terminator.
Gemini Man jumps five places to Number 4, while Downton Abbey drops two to Number 5. Animated Aardman adventure A Shaun The Sheep Movie: Farmageddon lands at Number 6 this week, just ahead of Zombieland: Double Tap (7) and Abominable (8).
Finally, a pair of Disney titles with The Lion King leaping nine places back into the Top 10 at Number 9, and Toy Story 4 rebounding five to Number 10.
