Magic Farm Trailer: New Look At Film From Acclaimed Filmmaker Amalia Ulman

MUBI has today released a new trailer for acclaimed filmmaker Amalia Ulmanās new film Magic Farm, which you can view below!
Fake it ātil you make it. The latest gem from Ulman (El Planeta), Magic Farm takes us on a kaleidoscopic journey packed with twists and turns, cross-cultural encounters and true personalities. When a misguided American documentary crew in search of their next viral segment ends up in the wrong town in rural Argentina, chaos ensues. As they collaborate with locals to fake a new music trend, unexpected relationships form, and an unfolding health crisis becomes apparent.
Starring ChloĆ« Sevigny (Monsters, Boys Donāt Cry), Alex Wolff (A Quiet Place: Day One, Oppenheimer), Joe Apollonio, Camila del Campo, Simon Rex (Red Rocket, Blink Twice) and Ulman herself, the origins of Magic Farm emerged from hipster journalism, typified in the 2010s by Vice News, where unserious, semi-gonzo film crews visited āthird worldā countries in search of a bizarre story and a catchy headline. Shot through with a vivid sense of place, this Berlinale and Sundance selection combines a surreal send-up of the media with a heartfelt exploration of humanity.
Ulmanās first film, El Planeta, premiered at Sundance 2021 and was the opening night selection at MoMAās New Directors/New Films 2021. It was nominated for two Gotham Awards in 2021 and won the Heterodox Award at the 2022 Cinema Eye Honors.
Magic Farm will be released in UK cinemas on May 16th.
