Sofia Coppola's Priscilla to get premiere at 67TH BFI London FIlm Festival

It’s that time again for a new Podcast episode and The Chronicle . Paul and Clotilde are back with episode 025, reviewing  two films Sofia Coppola‘s Priscilla and George Clooney‘s The Boys In The Boat.

The first episode for 2024 will kick off with  Priscilla.  Released in UK cinemas on 1st January and soon to be released on MUBI. This film is based on 1985 memoir Elvis and Me written by Priscilla Presley and Sandra HarmonCailee Spaeny (Mare of Easttown) as Priscilla, Jacob Elordi (Euphoria, Saltburn) as Elvis Presley. When teenage Priscilla Beaulieu meets Elvis Presley at a party, the man who is already a meteoric rock-and-roll superstar becomes someone entirely unexpected in private moments: a thrilling crush, an ally in loneliness, a vulnerable best friend. The film seen  through Priscilla’s eyes showcasing an unseen side of a great American myth in Elvis.

The second and final review is George Clooney‘s The Boys In The Town. Starring Callum Turner, Joel Edgerton, . Turner is Joe Rantz  a young man living impoverish  conditions who would play a pivotal part in the story of University of Washington rowing team who would take the challenge to represent their country at 1936 Berlin Olympics and win gold.
