Let The Games Begin In First Game Night Trailer

Game Night

“There’s Been A Murder!” Those infamous words from TV’s classic 1980’s crime show Taggart and the could be words we hear in Game Night. The new action-comedy, Game Night, starring Jason Bateman, Rachel McAdams when a weekly couples games night is kicked up a notch to become a ‘Murder Mystery Party’ Night.Someone is kidnapped but is it part of the game or is it real? Ditch the dominos and the scrabble board, leash up the hounds and it’s time to be Sherlock Holmes and watch first UK Trailer

This trailer unveils a tone that’s hard to totally pinpoint what direction the movie is trying to be. If anything it looks like its trying to be a parody version of David Fincher’s The Game. A little strange, little nuts but one that will focus more on slapstick than straight up funny. Directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein look like their trying to put a darker spin on this compared to their Vacation reboot movie. Hard to pinpoint exactly what way this one will go, but for now looks solid movie.

Bateman and McAdams star as Max and Annie, whose weekly couples game night gets kicked up a notch when Max’s charismatic brother, Brooks (Chandler), arranges a murder mystery party, complete with fake thugs and faux federal agents. So when Brooks gets kidnapped, it’s all part of the game…right? But as the six uber-competitive gamers set out to solve the case and win, they begin to discover that neither this “game”—nor Brooks—are what they seem to be. Over the course of one chaotic night, the friends find themselves increasingly in over their heads as each twist leads to another unexpected turn. With no rules, no points, and no idea who all the players are, this could turn out to be the most fun they’ve ever had…or game over.

Game Night is set for a 2nd March 2018 UK and Irish release date. Co-starring Kyle Chandler, Billy Magnussen, Sharon Horgan, Jesse Plemons, Lamorne Morris, Kylie Bunbury, Danny Huston, and Michael C. Hall.
