Kristen Stewart & Michael Cera Star In First Trailer For New Comedy Sacramento
Vertical Entertainment has released the first trailer for their comedy Sacramento, which you can view below!
From director Michael Angarano, the film stars Kristen Stewart (Love Lies Bleeding), Michael Cera (Barbie), Maya Erksine (Mr & Mrs Smith) and Angarano (Oppenheimer) and is the actor-turned-director’s second film after his 2109 debut Avenues, starring himself, Juno Temple, Nicholas Braun and Ari Graynor.
Sacramento had its world premiere at the 2024 Tribeca Festival and it centers on Rickey (Angarano), an energetic and free-spirited young man who convinces Glenn (Cera), his long-time friend who’s settled into domestic life, to go on an impromptu road trip from Los Angeles to Sacramento.

Following the death of his father, energetic and free-spirited Rickey (Michael Angarano) convinces long-time friend Glenn (Michael Cera) to go on an impromptu road trip from Los Angeles to Sacramento. Frustrated by Rickey’s Peter Pan complex, Glenn is encouraged by his pregnant wife Rosie (Kristen Stewart) to go on the adventure to reconnect. In the worn yellow seats of Glenn’s old college convertible, the two men confront their anxiety-ridden lives, addressing past mistakes and questioning what their futures hold.
Sacramento is released in US cinemas on April 11th. A UK release date is TBC.
