Jodie Foster Ready For Fight In New The Mauritanian UK Trailer

STX Films have released a new 60 second UK Trailer for Kevin MacDonald‘s true story legal drama The Mauritanian. Things are heating up as Jodie Foster commits she’s ready for a fight for her client (Tahar Rahim) even to death in the name of justice.
This legal drama centres around Rahim’s character Mohamedou Ould Slahi. The man considered by the U.S government as the recruiter of the terrorists who flew the planes that caused the 9/11 attacks on New York. Imprisoned in Guantanamo Bay for many years with no charges or trial, no chance of a fair trial.
He was held for 10 years, before given the trial that unearthed evidence that a dark terrifying conspiracy was aiming to put in place to stop any defence put in place.
Potential Oscar entry? Possible, plenty of contenders on show who could pick up an gong. There’s a lot of home dark truths revealed that might make this an uncomfortable watch, compelling stuff…

The Mauritanian will be released in UK and Irish Cinemas from 26th February 2021.
