James Bond Movie 23, Will It Be Called 'Red Sky at Night'

With great news recently from MGM that James Bond Movie 23 will get the green light to go ahead. Sam Mendes will get the directors chair but Daniel Craig has not yet been confirmed as James Bond again (if Fincher’s remake of Millemium Trilogy goes well could scupper his chances) as well as the rumour of Rachel Weisz to appear in the movie too.

There’s big fat rumours that have come out over the last 24 hours about the movie regarding its title as well as few juicy bits but the reason I do say there big fat rumours as they come from th unreliable lowlife source of The Sun. The newspaper claims that the movie title will be called RED SKY AT NIGHT, a sailors warning? Bleeding Cool a trustworthy source have done a bit of investigating themselves and found some interesting things on a unamed messege board:

“I’m close friends with an art director in the film industry, I wont mention his name but he has worked closely with production designer Michael Carlin and is about to start work in Canada on Kal-El, the next Superman movie. He was busy in 2010 on Bond 23 before it went into hiatus. He told me that the movie for a while had the code name Red Shadow, but when official documentation and the script arrived it contained the title Red Sky At Night and as such was referred to as this by Sam Mendes, Michael Carlin and the producers and the studio etc….He (the art director) also said that filming would have been done in Ontario, Canada and there was a large stunt involving the Ontario Tower as well as a huge hockey game and skiing/winter sports sequences.”

Red Sky at Night is an interesting title name could suggest several things anything from who the enemy could be (old school Russian? Chinese? North Korean?), what do you think of the title if its true? and could Kal-El be the title of Zack Snyder’s Superman project??! When it comes to snow and 007 there has been some memorable scenes and if Craig is Bond I think he’s only Bond not to do a Winter/ski scene yet and if they can rectify Nolan’s homage to Bonds ski scene from Inception we’ll be in for a big treat!!!
