Fasten your seatbelts, J.A Bayona‘s Society Of The Snow has a new official Trailer. Surviving isn’t a solo effort it’s a group effort!

Many of you might be saying ‘I’ve seen this somewhere before?‘, you are correct. Hollywood gave us Frank Marshall’s Alive in 1992 starring a young Ethan Hawke and Josh Hamilton.

Anyone who doesn’t know , this film is based on the true story of a Uruguayan university rugby team. In 1972 they chartered a flight to neighbouring Chile to play a match and their plane crashes in the Andes mountain range. 29 of the 45 survived, the rest battled the most extreme weather and conditions.

There is so much faith in this film, it will be Spain’s official entry to the Best International Film at The Oscars. The film debuted at Venice to very strong reviews, what we can see looks harrowing and emotional…

In 1972, Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571, which had been chartered to fly a rugby team to Chile, crashed in the heart of the Andes. Only 29 of its 45 engers survived the accident. Trapped in one of the most hostile and inaccessible environments on the planet, they have to resort to extreme measures to stay alive.

Society Of The Snow will get a limited UK and Irish cinema release on 22nd December before streaming on Netflix from 4th January 2024.
