Is Mark Ruffalo Up To The TASK In Official Trailer For New Series

SKY have debuted the first Trailer for crime series, Task starring Mark Ruffalo. Will he be up to that ‘task’?

The SKY exclusive is created by Mare Of Eastown creator, Tom Pelphrey,and Emilia Jones.

Task is an seven episode crime drama which Ruffalo plays FBI Agent Tom Brandis. He’s in charge of an task force are attempting to stop a series violent home invasions. Those robberies are led by an unsuspecting family man Robbie Prendergrast (Pelphrey).

The Mare Of Eastown starred Kate Winslet was a critical hit and if we get more of the same this has the potential. This looks like Ruffalo‘s Tom is someone stricken by grief, plenty of demons with alcohol one of them. Will this be a series of twists and a story tapping into the economic strife that is plaguing many of us?

Set in the working-class suburbs of Philadelphia, an FBI agent (Mark Ruffalo) heads a Task Force to put an end to a string of violent robberies led by an unsuspecting family man (Tom Pelphrey).

The series will also star Jamie McShane, Sam Keeley, Thuso Mbedu, Fabien Frankel, Alison Oliver, Raúl Castillo, Silvia Dionicio, Phoebe Fox, and Martha Plimpton.

Task will be available on Sky and streaming service NOW in the UK and Ireland in September.  HBO Max will premiere the series  in the U.S also in September.
