Interview – Bryson Baugus & Clint Bickham on working on the Haikyu The Dumpster Battle and more

Bryson Baugus, the voice of Shoyo Hinata, whom you may recognize as Falco Grice in Attack on Titan and Seishiro Nagi in Blue Lock, and Clint Bickham, the voice of Kenma Kozume, who also voiced Yutaka Honda in Shirobako and Shun Aonuma in From the New World, sat down to give me an exclusive interview regarding the latest Haikyu film, Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle.
The film comes 4 years after the end of the series, and is the first 2 films that Production I.G are releasing to finish the anime adaptation of the manga, The film follows 2 rival volleyball teams from Karasuno High and Nekoma High as they official face off against each other in the 3rd round of Nationals.
Both Bryson and Clint expressed that the film is a great follow-up for those who have watched all four seasons of the show, but it also provides new viewers with insight into the two main characters. Differently from the show, it gives us more information about Kenma, as we get to see much more of his backstory through flashbacks.
Shoyo Hinata s Karasuno High’s volleyball club to be like his idol, a former Karasuno player known as the “Little Giant.” But, Hinata soon finds that he must team up with his middle school nemesis, Tobio Kageyama. Their clashing styles turn into a surprising weapon, but can they beat their rival Nekoma High in the highly anticipated “Dumpster Battle,” the long awaited ultimate showdown between two opposing underdog teams?
