Idris Elba ‘Prison Breaker’ In Luther: The Fallen Sun First Trailer

The long wait is nearly over, Luther: The Fallen Sun will be in UK Cinemas later this month. Today Netflix unveil the official First Trailer and Idris Elba is a ‘Prison Breaker’!

The end of the final season saw our favourite unconventional detective find himself behind bars. This film picks up from there and on evidence of this trailer fans of the show will be delighted.

London is being tormented by by a sadistic serial killer. John Luther is still haunted by his failure to capture that killer. He has one hurdle in front of him, he’s in jail and even that won’t stop John determined to get the job ‘done’.

Despite everything that has happened to our disgraced cop, he still thinks he’s a copper. The trailer really goes to town on the teasing, with the riot that helps the break out. Plus Luther’s old boss now searching for him, but justice means something differently to our ‘hero’.

In Luther: The Fallen Sun — an epic continuation of the award-winning television saga reimagined for film — a gruesome serial killer is terrorizing London while brilliant but disgraced detective John Luther (Idris Elba) sits behind bars. Haunted by his failure to capture the cyber psychopath who now taunts him, Luther decides to break out of prison to finish the job by any means necessary.

Idris Elba will be ed by Dermot Crowley returning as Martin Schenk. ing them will also be Andy Serkis, Cynthia Eviro, Thomas Coombes, Hattie Morahan, Lauryn Ajufo, and Vincent Regan.

Luther: The Fallen Sun will be released in select UK and Irish cinemas from24th February. Then from10th March globally on Netflix.
